Xiaomi's Smart Band 9 smart bracelet will launch in the global market with many trendy features at a cheap price.
Xiaomi launched the Smart Band 9 last month alongside the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip in China. Now, a source has revealed that the smart band will soon launch globally.
The information comes from leaker @Arsène Lupin on social network X (Twitter). However, the exact launch date for the global market was not shared. Previously, the Smart Band 9 appeared on Amazon's listing in Italy with a release date of August 19.
However, the price of the product was not disclosed. The global release of the product is quite early and goes against Xiaomi's practice of delaying international launches for smart band products.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 was launched in China with a starting price of 249 yuan, equivalent to $35 (about 874 thousand VND). Notably, there is an NFC-enabled version and another version called Ceramic Special Edition. These two models are priced at 299 yuan (about 1 million VND) and 349 yuan (about 1.2 million VND) respectively.
According to Gadgets & Wearables, the product could start at €39.99 (about 1.1 million VND) on Amazon Italy, a slight increase from the €36.99 (1.01 million VND) price of its predecessor. However, the price for the global market has not been officially revealed and may differ from the prediction.
Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Specifications
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 features a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with a brightness of 1200 nits. The display has a resolution of 192 x 490 and a pixel density of 326ppi.
The device supports over 200 watch faces. There is an NFC version as mentioned earlier and supports contactless payments. The Band 9 comes with a 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, PPG and ambient light sensor for health tracking and other features.
Speaking of health tracking, the product is said to be 16% more accurate than the Xiaomi Smart Band 8. It supports more than 150 exercise modes, including guided running courses. It can also recommend optimal sleep cycles for better recovery.
The Smart Band 9 has a 233mAh internal battery that is said to provide up to 21 days of battery life with Always On Display turned off. With AOD turned on, the device can last about 9 days on a single charge. It takes about 1 hour to fully charge. The device can operate stably at a depth of 50 meters underwater.
In terms of connectivity, the Band 9 supports Bluetooth 5.4 and offers basic features like music control, replying to messages, and weather updates.
